Buckland, Raymond |
Candlelight

energizing the atmosphere of a room, candles have been a part of religious tradition for
aeons. Join that tradition and learn how to: choose candles that harmonize with your
astrological sign; burn candles effectively as a spell component; make magickal candles
from scratch; use candles as charms & amulets; decorate candles to reflect any goal,
including love, prosperity, health, & happiness; combine Feng Shui with candle burning
efforts. There is literally no circumstance for which candles cannot be used for powerful,
life-affirming magick. This is the definitive guide to understanding & applying the
magickal art of candles for yourself, your home, family or friends. Softcover, 190 pgs |

The Candle Magick
Workbook
Kala Pajeon, Ketz Pajeon (Contributor) |
Candle Power : Using
Candlelight for Ritual, Magic and Self-Discovery Cassandra Eason |
This
is the best candle magick book I've read, and compared to at least one other, the most
original. It does a fine job of covering basic theory of magick, visualization, aura and
chakra cleansing procedures!, candle dressing and energizing!, oils, incense, time tables;
this book is a DISCUSSION and one of the most important books I own. I can't wait for more
of Kala & Ketz's works to become available. This is not just a candle magick book it
is a MAGICK book. Thank you Kala and Ketz! |
This is one of the best books on candle magick . Minimal new-age fluff and lots
to really use. I would recommend this for the beginner and intermediate in candle magick.

Paperback, 180 pages
|
The
main object of this book is to help you understand what you are doing, & to create
& develop your own techniques & rituals which will surely bring you the results
you desire. It doesnt matter what your religion is or if you are religious at all.
Candle burning is a psychic & psychological experience, & may compliment your
particular faith by arranging your rituals to blend into it. Nevertheless, you need not do
anything which you feel is inharmonious with your personal beliefs, as there are countless
alternatives. There are numerous authorities & traditions which attempt to tell you
precisely what to do in each type of candle burning ritual or "spell," but few
attempt to explain the reasons why it must be just so. The actual reason is because that
is what works best for them, but does it mean anything to you? The one basic, simple fact
we can feel sure of is that the act of burning candles does indeed cause an altered state
of awareness, producing changes in circumstances. The important thing is to pour a part of
yourself into each spell. This book will teach you what you need to know to succeed with
candle burning. 62 pgs |

Wicca Candle Magick

Practical Candle Burning
Rituals (Llewellyn's Practical Magick Series)
Raymond Buckland |
Dunwich
has written a good book for candle magick, but her book focuses on very specific things to
do and not to do. She also provides some basic info on colors, and what they represent.
There's also some nice tid-bits of historical information that I enjoyed reading. |
I
have had success in using this book. I agree with someone else's comment that if the
rituals didn't work for you, it's not the author's fault! This book is great, because you
can adapt the rituals easily. |
